On February 14th, Valentine's Day, all those who hold love dear are invited to special three-course dinners at KITSCHen restaurant and afterwards to Lounge Fenikss bar, where the ninth installment of the Jazz&Blues concert series will delight guests with jazz tunes.
The festive dinners, for which reservations are required, will be available throughout the week from February 12th to 18th. And at the "Melodies of Love" concert on February 14th at Lounge Fenikss bar, well-known, classic, and beloved jazz melodies will be performed by Sony Jazz Stage Grand Prix laureate Julia Zakirova, accompanied by pianist Māris Vitkus on the Steinway piano and Pēteris Liepiņš on the double bass.
Julia Zakirova, with her velvety voice, can enchant any listener and is one of the most original jazz singers in Latvia. She began her journey in music at the age of 16. J. Zakirova mastered vocal art both in Moscow, at the Academy of Contemporary Arts, and in the jazz department of the Riga Dom Choir School. The artist has participated in numerous jazz festivals and is a SONY JAZZ STAGE Grand Prix winner.
And at the Lounge Fenikss bar, this time at the new Steinway grand piano, jazz and pop musician Māris Vitkus will perform, known widely as the pianist of the "Very Cool people" band.
Finally, Pēteris Liepiņš is one of the most sought-after virtuosos of double bass in Latvia. P. Liepiņš has appeared in several TV shows and music projects, performed in Finland, Switzerland, Germany, England, Lithuania, Estonia, and the USA.
Concert attendees will be welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine "Dignitat Cava Brut" and, of course, all beverages and snacks from the Lounge Fenikss menu will be available.
The tradition of live Jazz&Blues evenings at Aston Hotel Riga's Lounge Fenikss bar started last year in October. Concerts take place every other Wednesday, accompanied by a specially selected drink for that evening.
