At the turn of the year, a youth center located in Plūdoņa street 8 started working in Bauska. The building, which belongs to SIA Alfor, was given to the association "OPEN Radošais Centrs" for free use for five years with the aim of creating a youth center.

The company carried out the improvement works of the center at its own expense, preparing the premises of the former gaming hall in accordance with the needs of young people.

Bauska's youth aged 13 and over will be able to spend their free time in the center - play games, read books, participate in physical activities. The center will also serve as a safe place for those young people who need shelter, cook food, wash clothes or do homework.

Edijs Klaišis, head of the "OPEN Radošais Centrs" association: "We were looking for premises in Bauska for almost two years. Unfortunately, unsuccessfully. With the coming crisis, even more young people are in need of help and support."

Jānis Zuzāns, chairman of the board of the Alfor company: "I am glad that the company's building in Bauska has found a new and important use for the local community. We have created the conditions for the center to have a comfortable and suitable environment for young people. I wish that the center gains popularity and the trust of young people."

As previously reported, the gaming hall Fenikss in Bauska, owned by the company, moved to new premises. After listening to the priorities of the Bauska municipality, the vacated premises found a new use, which is relevant for the local community and especially for young people. The company has invested approximately 16,000 EUR in the improvement of the building.
